Mr. Gregory,

As soon as you called me I promised I would take care of the issue you had. You also mentioned other issues and I promised I would take care of them. As a past firefighter you should understand people make mistakes, volunteers or paid. There is no reason to post this unless I didn't do anything about it. As a past firefighter can you help your community by volunteering as firefighter? Can you get the neighboors who are upset to join? You guys can help make a difference. We need help and most members out of station 2 come from a longer distance. You had my word and have my word I would take care of the issue. I didn't blow your phone call off and called you back as soon as possible. Please download an application and have your neighboors download one and join.

I am very upset with the first "Chief" to respond to the vacant house fire on Beach Road tonight, July 3rd.
Whoever was driving put citizens at undue risk. He must have been traveling at least 70mph. I served on the Watertown City Fire Department for 11 yrs and my father served for 27 yrs. NEVER were we permitted to drive carelessly when responding to an alarm. I am not the only individual upset about the reckless driving of this individual, my neigbors and I were able to flag down the Rangers, but they said to contact the Brewerton Fire Department. We all have little kids and live on the opposite side of the road from the water. The kids are constantly crossing the street. There is no way anyone travely as fast as this individual could have stopped in time from KILLING one of our children.

I am on the Brewerton Stratiegic Revitalization Advisory Committee. We are requesting that the Brewerton Fire department display our web site on your electric sign in front of your station. this will help promote community awareness. Our web site is: anewdayinbrewerton.com. Not many are aware of this web site. I was advise by a member of your department to make this request in person at this evenings Board of Directors meeting at 7:30 pm. When I arrived a 7:15 all the doors were locked and the meeting was in process so I could not make the request in person. We are having our public meeting April 6th at your location. Any questions please call me 440-4918 cell. Best Regards Fred Cowburn, 5169 Comstock Road, Brewerton
